Context
Circular explores the formal and technical implications of ring-shaped LED modules.
The challenge was to achieve homogeneous illumination within a flat construction while maintaining geometric clarity.
Product
Circular is powered by a circular array of 20 SMD LEDs arranged close to the diffuser surface. Achieving smooth illumination within minimal depth required careful coordination of LED placement, housing geometry, and diffusion to avoid visible hotspots.
Over time, light output increased significantly — from 320 lm to 1200 lm per head — while maintaining the original geometry. The centered pivot reinforces the circular logic, improving adjustability and visual balance when tilted. The head forms the basis of a broader product family, from single ceiling spots to multi-head and pendant configurations.
